A Cook County man is suing over claims he slipped and fell in the bathroom of a medical center.
Michael Hapaniewski filed a lawsuit May 2 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Advocate Health and Hospitals Corp., doing business as the Center for Advanced Care.
Hapaniewski claims he suffered injuries on May 3, 2012, when he slipped on the wet floor of the bathroom at the defendant's facility in Chicago. The suit accuses the defendant of failing to safely maintain the bathroom floor.
Hapaniewski is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Oak Park attorney Ben Crane of Coplan & Crane Ltd.
