St. Agnes rehab center hit with suit from resident alleging injuries

A woman is suing a Chicago rehabilitation center, claiming she suffered several injuries while a resident at the facility.

Sarah Quinn filed a lawsuit May 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against St. Agnes Manor Inc., doing business as St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center, alleging violations of the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the complaint, Quinn was a resident at St. Agnes' center in Chicago on May 18, 2012, when she sustained an impacted fracture of her left shoulder and arm, and June 2, 2012, when she suffered an altered mental state, dehydration, kidney injury and encephalopathy, among other injuries.

Quinn is seeking more than $100,000 in damages and is being represented by Craig L. Manchik and Lynne Plum Duffey of the Law Offices of Craig L. Manchik & Associates PC.
