A group of companies are facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims she fell on ice at their Elk Grove Village parking facility.

Barbra Tyman filed a lawsuit May 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court against NWP Acquisition LLC, Farbman Group and Lieberman Management Services Inc., alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, Tyman was on the defendants' parking facility on Northwest Point Boulevard in Elk Grove Village on Feb. 21, when she slipped in a poorly lit area on an accumulation of ice caused by a leaking ceiling.

She accuses the defendants of negligence and having knowledge of, but failing to warn patrons of the danger.

Tyman is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Frank C. Marino of Marino & Simonetti.
