Ladder fall lands Mathews Company in court

An employee of company is suing over claims he was injured after falling from a ladder on the job.

Jesus Hernandez filed a lawsuit May 20 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Mathews Company, citing negligence.

The lawsuit states Hernandez he was working at a manufacturing building owned and operated by Mathews Company as an employee of Accurate Personnel LLC on May 21, 2012, when he fell from a ladder and sustained injuries.

Hernandez is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented by Paul G. O’Toole of Salvato & O’Toole.
