Kellerman

A resident of a Matteson rehabilitation center is suing over a series of falls she claims resulted in fractured bones.

Mariane Morrison filed a lawsuit May 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against Applewood Rehabiliation Center LLC, doing business as Applewood Rehabilitation Center.

The lawsuit states. Morrison became a resident of the center, at 21020 Kostner Ave., Matteson, in May 2012. She alleges the center and its staff failed to protect her from abuse and neglect, provide adequate care and safeguards to prevent her from falling.

As a result of the center's alleged negligence, Morrison claims she fell several times, sustaining fractured bones and a deterioration of her physical and mental condition.

Morrison is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs, and is being represented by Jason M. Kellerman of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates.
