A home improvement chain is facing a lawsuit over injuries caused from an allegedly wet floor.
Lesley Hamilton filed suit June 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against Menard Inc. and Ambassador Enterprises LLC.
According to the complaint, Hamilton was shopping at the Menard's at 101 N. Wolf Road in Hillside on July 6, 2012, when she slipped and fell on a wet floor.
She accuses the defendants of failing to dry the store's floor after cleaning, provide warnings about the floor's dangerous condition, provide a safe walking area for customers, hire a competent cleaning company and train and/or supervise its cleaning company.
Hamilton is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is represented by Chicago attorney Gregg Mandell.
