The daughter of a man who allegedly took his own life is suing a physician over claims he discharged her father too soon.
Krystal Wilson, as administrator of the Estate of Ricky Blanche, filed a lawsuit May 29 in the Cook County Circuit Court against an unknown physician at John J. Madden Mental Health Center, alleging negligence and wrongful death.
Wilson claims Blanche was being treated by a physician at the mental health center for suicidal thoughts, paranoid delusions and other mental illnesses on Nov. 30, 2012. The suit alleges Blanche was discharged on Nov. 30, 2012, and committed suicide on Jan. 10, 2013.
Wilson is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, attorneys fees and court costs. She is being represented by Chicago attorney Scott B. Wolfman of Law Office of Scott B. Wolfman and Associates PC.
