A woman is suing after she allegedly fell and was injured inside a grocery store.

Bonita Paschal filed suit June 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against Food 4 Less, also known as Food 4 Less Mid-West, Ralph's Grocery Company and Kroger West; and Turano Bread, also known as Turano Baking Co. and Campagna-Turano Bakery Inc.

According to the complaint, Paschal was as a customer at a Food 4 Less store at 1000 E. Sibley Blvd. in Dolton, where she claims she violently fell to the floor after a Turano Bread sale display toppled over.

The defendants are accused of failing to properly use sale equipment, permitting equipment to remain in a dangerous condition, failing to properly warn shoppers of the hazardous area and not properly inspecting the area for hazards.

Paschal is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs, and is represented by attorneys at Michael E. Vlahakis PC in Chicago.
