A man is suing over injuries he allegedly sustained when his leg fell through a drain.
Joseph Gaik filed suit July 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against the Chicago Board of Education.
According to the complaint, Gaik was walking on a property owned by the defendant at 13425 S. Baltimore Ave. in Chicago on Feb. 18, 2012, when his leg fell into a broken drain. He accuses the defendant of failing to maintain, repair, cover or warn of the broken drain.
Gaik is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is represented by Chicago attorney Keith L. Young.
