Delivery man lodges claim against CP Fire & Water Restoration over fall

A man is suing over claims he was injured when he slipped on ice while making a delivery.

James Twist filed a lawsuit July 15 in the Cook County Circuit Court against CP Fire & Water Restoration LLC, doing business as Servpro of Oak Lawn, alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, Twist was making a delivery for his employer at CP Fire & Water Restoration's premises on South Holiday Drive in the Village of Alsip on Feb. 11, when he slipped on an unnatural accumulation of ice and snow.

The defendant is accused of negligence in failing to spread salt and maintain the premises.

Twist is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by attorney Mark E. McNabola and Terrance M. Nofsinger of McNabola Law Group P.C. in Chicago.
