A woman who allegedly slipped on ice and was injured is suing a pair of Chicago property owners.

Gloria Burgos filed suit in July in Cook County Circuit Court against Felix Miranda and Mario Martinez.

According to the complaint, Burgos was on property owned by the defendants on North Avers Avenue in Chicago on Jan. 20, when he slipped and fell on an unnatural accumulation of ice and sustained severe injuries.

The defendants are accused of carelessly maintaining the exterior stairway, failing to maintain the stairway in a safe condition, allowing a drainage nuisance to exist and failing to warn of the hazardous condition.

Burgos is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is represented by Chicago attorney Jonathan B. Fleisher of Karlin, Fleisher & Falkenberg LLC.
