A lawsuit has been filed after a minor allegedly was injured on a jagged piece of metal.
On behalf of her minor son, Carla Bowen filed suit July 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Flying High Gymnastics Inc., doing business as Flying High Gym, also known as Flying High Sports and Rec Center.
According to the complaint, Bowen's son was at the defendant's facility at 5400 East Ave. in the Village of Countryside on July 22, 2012, when he tripped on a piece of jagged metal and sustained injuries to his head and forehead.
The defendant is accused of negligently permitting a portion of the premises to remain in an unsafe condition, failing to repair to the piece of metal that caused the incident and not warning the dangerous condition.
Bowen is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs, and is represented by Chicago attorney Ira M. Kleinmuntz.
