Fall in Union Station bathroom leads to premises liability suit

A woman who claims she was injured in a bathroom at Union Station has filed premises liability suit.

Victoria Stewart filed suit July 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Chicago Union Station Co., National Railroad Passenger Corp., Regional Transportation Authority and Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corp.

According to the complaint, Stewart was in a women's bathroom at Union Station on West Jackson Boulevard on July 27, 2013, when she tripped on a loose metal drain cover and fell.

She accuses the defendants of being negligent in maintaining the bathroom.

Stewart is seeking damages and is being represented in the case by attorneys at Pope & Jaburek P.C. in Chicago.
