Man blames AT&T for falling over cable during installation

A Cook County man is suing over claims he was injured when he tripped over a cable left on the floor during a cable television installation.

Ralph White filed a lawsuit Aug. 4 in the Cook County Circuit Court against AT&T IL and AT&T IL/Illinois Bell Telephone, doing business as AT&T Illinois Bell Telephone, alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, AT&T was installing cable television equipment at White's residence on North Oak Park Avenue in Chicago on Oct. 15, 2012, when he tripped over a cable negligently left out and sustained injuries.

White is seeking damages to, plus costs, and is being represented in the case by attorney D. Jeffrey Comeau of O'Connor & Nakos in Chicago.
