Slip in Wrigley Field bathroom leads to lawsuit against Cubs

A woman is suing the Cubs, claiming she was injured in a bathroom at Wrigley Field.

Danielle Engemann filed a premises liability lawsuit Aug. 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Chicago Cubs Baseball Club LLC.

According to the complaint, Engemann was in the main level women's bathroom at Wrigley Field on Aug. 17, 2013, when she slipped on a puddle of water on the floor and sustained injuries.

She accuses the defendants of failing to maintain the premises in a safe condition.

Engemann is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Fred I. Benjamin of Benjamin and Shapiro Ltd. in Chicago.
