A woman is suing a long-term care facility over claims it allowed her mother to sustain a fall that led to her death.

Grace Donatello, as special administrator for the Estate of Helen Reder, filed a wrongful death lawsuit Aug. 13 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Claridge Imperial Ltd.

The lawsuit alleges that on Sept. 13, Helen Reder sustained a fall as a resident of The Imperial Grove Pavilion on Fullerton Avenue in Chicago and died that day as a result of the defendants' negligence.

Donatello is asking for $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Robert J. Rooth of the Rooth Law Firm of Evanston.
