Customer sues Shell gas station over pothole fall

A woman is suing over claims she fell on a pothole near a gas pump in Oak Park.

Misti Woodberry filed a lawsuit Aug. 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court against JBTT Inc. and Shell Oil Co., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Woodberry was a customer at a gas station at 6129 W. North Ave. in Oak Park on June 3,when she tripped and fell on a pothole near a gasoline pump, causing serious and permanent injuries.

She claims the defendants were negligent in managing the property, failing to warn her about the pothole and not fixing the pothole.

Woodberry is suing for more than $50,000, plus court costs, and is represented by Nicholas DeAgostino and J. Thomas Chute at TurcyChute LLC in Chicago.
