A customer of a fast-food restaurant is suing after slipping in the store.
Veronica Kemp filed a lawsuit Aug. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Kevin Bulmann, doing business as Chick-Fil-A of Orland Park FSU, alleging negligence.
The lawsuit states Kemp was in the restaurant at 15605 S. La Grange Road in Orland Park on July 11, 2013, when she slipped on the wet floor and suffered injuries. She claims employees who had mopped the floor left water on the floor, didn’t section it off and didn’t warn her about the danger.
Kemp is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is represented by Theodore Jennings of McNabola Law Group P.C. of Chicago.
