A property owner is suing a frozen yogurt company it claims didn’t pay rent for a billboard.
Lydan Properties Inc. filed a lawsuit Aug. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Forever Yogurt Holdings LLC, alleging default in payments.
The lawsuit states the two parties signed a lease on Sept. 28, 2012 for the yogurt company to lease a billboard on the west wall of property at 3110 W. Belmont Ave. owned by Lydan Properties.
Forever Yogurt agreed to pay $2,900 a month with an increase to $3,000 a month beginning Nov. 1, 2012. It made payments through December 2013, but didn’t make any payments in 2014, according to Lydan Properties.
Lydan Properties is seeking a total of $68,340, plus court costs, and is represented by Daniel J. Voelker of Voelker Litigation Group of Chicago.
