Trip and fall in Fairplay's parking lot leads to premises liability complaint

A woman is suing over claims she was injured on an uneven parking lot for a Chicago grocery store.

Gloria Casares filed a premises liability lawsuit Aug. 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Fairplay Inc.

According to the complaint, Casares was at Fairplay grocery store on South Halsted Avenue on Sept. 8, 2012, when she tripped on an irregularity in the surface of the parking lot and sustained injuries.

Casares is seeking more than $30,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Scott A. Blumenshine of the Law Office of Meyer & Blumenshine in Chicago.
