A Cook County man is suing over claims he was injured at a dinner party in Itasca.
Glenn and Cynthia Rogers filed a lawsuit Sept. 8 in Cook County Circuit Court accusing Doug Garlock of battery and negligence.
According to the complaint, the Rogerses were leaving a dinner party at Garlock's home in Itasca on July 4, when Garlock requested they not leave and, after a short discussion, allegedly rushed toward Glenn and made bodily contact, causing him to fall to the ground.
The couple asserts Glenn sustained orthopedic injuries as a result of the incident. The suit also includes a loss of consortium count on behalf of Cynthia.
The plaintiffs are seeking more than $50,000 in damages and are represented by attorney Stephen P. Ellenbecker of The Gloor Law Group in Chicago.
