A man is suing over claims he was injured on a bus he rented for transportation to a college football game because the company's employee was driving erratically.
Ryan R. Rodriguez filed a lawsuit Aug. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against Global Charter Services Ltd., doing business as The Bus Bank, Bestway Charter Transportation Inc. and Zbignew Staciiowiak.
According to the complaint, Rodriguez rented a bus from the defendant companies to drive him and his friends and colleagues from Chicago to South Bend, Ind. for a Notre Dame football game on Sept. 28, 2013.
Rodriguez claims he was sitting in the back of the bus, when Staciiowiak, an employee of The Bus Bank, slammed on the breaks, causing him to fall to the floor and sustain injuries.
Rodriguez is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Brian W. Coffman of Coffman Law Offices in Chicago.
