Table collapse lands Lumes Pancake House in court

A woman is suing a Chicago restaurant, claiming she was injured when a table collapsed.

Pearl Johnson filed a premises liability lawsuit Sept. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lumes Pancake House, doing business as Corfu Cafe.

According to the complaint, Johnson was at Lumes Pancake House on South Western Avenue in Chicago on April 26, when a table fell on her legs. The defendant is accused of failing to maintain the table.

Johnson is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Renee T. Vogt in Chicago.
