A man is suing over claims he was injured while replacing a sliding glass door for a realty company.
Peter Golesteanu filed a lawsuit Sept. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Steve Bonnet and Premier Realty and Management Group, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, Bonnet, working for Premier Realty, hired Golesteanu and a colleague to replace a sliding glass door in an apartment building on Joliet Road in La Grange on June 18, 2013.
Golesteanu claims he was working inside the building while his colleague was on scaffolding provided by Premier outside the building while they attempted to replace the glass door, when his coworker lost his balance due to the defective condition of the scaffolding and Golesteanu grabbed the door to prevent it from falling onto his coworker.
As a result of the incident and the defendants' failure to provide functioning equipment, Golesteanu alleges he sustained injuries.
He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorneys Ronald J. Broida, Joseph K. Nichele and Spencer Langford of Broida and Nichele Ltd. in Naperville.
