Target employee lodges suit against C&S Wholesale Grocers over fall in truck

A woman is suing a wholesale grocer, alleging she was injured while unloading a delivery truck at a Target store.

Stephanie Hannah filed a premises liability lawsuit Sept. 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against C&S Wholesale Grocers.

According to the complaint, Hannah was unloading goods from the defendant's tractor trailer at the Target she worked at on East West Road in Calumet City on Sept. 19, 2012, when she slipped on water and a greasy substance on the truck's floor and fell, sustaining injuries.

Hannah accuses the defendant of being negligent in failing to maintain its truck and is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is represented by attorney Charles R. Culbertson of Rubin, Machado & Rosenblum in Chicago.
