Customer's slip and fall lands Tony's Finer Foods, others in court

A man is suing the owners of a grocery store chain, claiming over claims he was injured when he slipped on the wet floor tiles of a grocery store.

Clemente Valentin filed a lawsuit Sept. 30 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Tony's Finer Foods Enterprises Inc., doing business as Super Tony's Finer Foods and/or Tony's Fresh Market.

The suit also names Domenico Gambino, Antonio Francesco Ingraffia, Sara Ingraffia, Maria Ann Gambino, Tony Ingraffia and Domenica Gambino, as well as some of their trusts, as defendants.

According to the complaint, Valentin slipped on the wet floor of the Tony's Finer Foods store on West Fullerton Avenue in Chicago on Oct. 3, 2012, and sustained injuries.

Valentin is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Scott D. DeSalvo of The Law Office of Scott D. DeSalvo LLC in Chicago.
