A Kane County man is suing the owners of a Division Street bar, claiming he was injured by an intoxicated patron.
Harry Zimbler filed a lawsuit Oct. 6 in the Cook County Circuit Court against R&V Inc., doing business as Detention, citing the state's Dram Shop Act.
According to the complaint, Zimbler was at Detention, a high school detention-themed bar, on Oct. 6, 2013, when an intoxicated patron attacked him, striking him with a glass and his fists.
The defendant is accused of being negligent and violating the Dram Shop Act.
Zimbler is seeking $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Michael E. Holden of Romanucci & Blandin LLC in Chicago.
