Owner of Green Door Tavern faces customer's claim over fall down stairs

A man is suing the owner of a bar on the city's Near North Side over claims he was injured after falling down the staircase.

Robert D. Negri filed a premises liability lawsuit Oct. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against Cork City Productions, doing business as the Green Door Tavern.

According to the complaint, Negri was walking down stairs at the Green Door Tavern on North Orleans Street on Jan. 9, when he tripped on the stairs and fell down them, sustaining injuries.

Negri is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Colin H. Dunn of Clifford Law Offices in Chicago.
