Alleged slip on ice in covered parkage garage leads to lawsuit against Village of Oak Park, Midway Building Services

A woman is suing a western Cook County suburb, claiming she was injured when she slipped on ice in a covered parking garage there.

Gloria Quinones-Garcia filed a lawsuit Oct. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against the Village of Oak Park and Midway Building Services, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Quinones-Garcia was walking to the exit of the defendants' covered parking garage on North Scoville Avenue in Oak Park on March 2, when she slipped on an accumulation of ice and fell.

She alleges she sustained injuries and accuses the defendants of being negligent in the maintenance of their parking garage.

Quinones-Garcia is represented by attorneys Jay A. McCarron and Steven A. Berman of Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen in Chicago.
