An Chicagoland restaurant that serves Cajun and creole cuisine is facing a lawsuit from a customer who claims she was served food with a metal object in it.

Lynne Turner filed a lawsuit Nov. 25 in Cook County Circuit Court against Flavor Restaurant Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Turner was dining at Flavor Restaurant at 3515 Vollmer Road in Flossmoor on Dec. 21, 2012, when she bit into a metal object in her food, causing her to sustain bone and nerve damage in her mouth as a result of the bite.

It appears from the restaurant's website and Yelp.com that Flavor has since relocated to Richton Park.

Turner seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus court fees, and is represented by attorney Adam J. Marquardt of Brustin & Lundblad in Chicago.

This is a report on a civil lawsuit filed at Cook County Circuit Court. The details in this report come from an original complaint filed by a plaintiff. Please note that a complaint represents an accusation by a private individual, not the government. It is not an indication of guilt and represents only one side of the story.
