A Chicago woman is suing for damages allegedly resulting from a neighbor’s home improvement project.
Dawn Lullo filed the lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court on Dec. 4 against Shilva S. Bavikatte, Home Depot USA Inc., THD At-Home Services Inc., U.S. Remodelers Inc., Stone Systems Inc. and Facelifters Home Systems Inc.
According to the complaint, Lullo became sick when noxious fumes from contact cement drifted into her home from Bavikatte's condominium in December 2012. Lullo approached Bavikatte and asked to resolve the fumes issue, the suit states, but Bavikatte did not properly ventilate the condo.
Lullo seeks an undisclosed amount in damages, plus court fees, and is represented by Aaron W. Rapier of The Collins Law Firm in Naperville.
