A retail store and a company that provides water dispensation services is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims a leaking water storage jug caused her to slip and fall.

Rosalia Sanchez filed suit Dec. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Primo Water Corp. and Kmart Corporation of Illinois Inc.

According to the complaint, Sanchez was at the Kmart store at 3443 W. Addison St. in Chicago on June 22, when she slipped and fell due "as a result of an improper and leaking water jug storage container"

She claims the condition was created by Primo Water because its storage container lacked any bottom to catch water and prevent it from leaking on the floor. She accuses Primo and Kmart of failing to clean up the leaking water or warn shoppers about it.

As a result of the fall, Sanchez contends she suffered injuries, lost and will continue to lose financial gains, has and will be kept from attending ordinary affairs and has incurred hospital expenses. She is represented by Nicholas J. Faklis of Faklis & Tallis in Chicago
