A dialysis center on the city's South Side and one of its employees are facing a lawsuit over the alleged assault of a patient.
Keith Thompson filed suit Dec. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Ross Dialysis-Englewood, which owns Fresenius Medical Care of Illinois, and employee Jamila Braggs.
According to the complaint, Thompson was receiving treatment at Ross Dialysis-Englewood on Dec. 3, 2013, when he was battered and assaulted by Braggs on the neck and chest, causing bruises, high blood pressure and pain.
Thompson is suing Ross Dialysis-Englewood and Fresenius Medical Care of Illinois for negligence and Braggs for battery.
He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Brian Murray of Sutter & Ori of Chicago.
