A man is suing the owners of a Monee tow truck company and truck stop, claiming he fell off a truck after being instructed to enter a vehicle on it.

Daniel O'Dell filed suit Dec. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against Wes Kochel Inc., also known as Wes Kochel Enterprises Inc., and TA Operating LLC, also known as Travel Centers of America, Petro Stopping Centers, Petro Stopping Center of Monee and Petro Monee.

According to the complaint, O'Dell contacted Wes Kochel Inc. on Jan. 2, 2013 to tow his vehicle to the Petro truck stop at 5915 Monee Road.

O'Dell claims he fell and sustained injuries after Wes Kochel instructed him to enter his vehicle even though it was on the tow truck in a dangerous and unsafe condition.

He accuses the defendants of failing to properly maintain the truck and truck stop premises, among other allegations of negligence.

O'Dell seeks damages in excess of $50,000 and is represented by the Law Office of Andrew Kryder in Chicago.
