A woman is suing the owners of a Des Plaines casino over injuries she alleges she sustained from a gaming machine.
Irene Brisco filed a complaint Jan. 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against Midwest Gaming & Entertainment, doing business as Rivers Casino.
According to the complaint, Brisco was at the casino at 3000 South River Road in Des Plaines on March 4, 2013, when she was injured because a gaming machine had been removed from its supporting base inside the casino.
Brisco contends Rivers Casino should have also removed the base itself, inspected the area and placed safety warnings around the area where the machine had been removed.
She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney Richard Balind of Larry L. Fleischer & Associates in Chicago.
