A woman is suing a Rolling Meadows banquet facility and a Chicagoland promotions firm for injuries sustained when an allegedly drunk patron fell on her.
Lambrini Bertsos filed a suit Jan. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court, charging negligence and violation of state law against MC Conventions and Banquets, doing business as The Meadows Club, Greek Promotions Live Inc. and a John Doe.
According to the complaint, an unknown club patron consumed alcohol and became intoxicated at Meadows Club's banquet facility at 2950 W. Golf Road on Oct. 25, when he climbed atop a table, stumbled and fell on Bertsos.
Bertsos claims the environment was unsafe and the defendants and/or their staff were insufficiently trained to handle such situations, and failed to eject or restrain John Doe.
Bertsos seeks more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Mark T. Hickey of Mark T. Hickey & Associates in Tinley Park.
