A Cook County man is suing three Cicero residents over an alleged, unprovoked attack by their dog.

Ivan Leanos filed suit Feb. 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against Jesse Keith, Alfonso Salgado and Alicia Salgado over a February 2013 incident in which he asserts Keith's dog bit him.

Keith lived with the Salgados, his in-laws, at the time, according to the suit that accuses all three of failing to secure and restrain the dog, as well as neglecting to warn him of its presence on the property.

As a result of allegedly omitting this information, Leanos claims the defendants knew or should have known that this oversight would result in injury to persons on the premises.

Leanos seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs, and is represented by Michael Hume of Cary J. Wintroub & Associates LLC in Chicago.
