Area dentist faces suit over patient's gum disease

Blumberg 150x150

A man is suing a Chicago dentist who he asserts failed to properly diagnose and treat gum disease.

David M. Gryczewski filed a lawsuit March 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Curt R. Lang and his dental practice Curt R. Lang D.D.S. Ltd.

According to the complaint, Gryczewski was a patient of Lang’s between 1987 and 2013, during which time he alleges Lang failed to diagnose, monitor or treat periodontal disease. He accuses the defendants of neglecting to treat decay or take x-rays regularly, and claims he sustained injuries by not being referred to a specialist for treatment of gum disease.

Gryczewski seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus attorney fees and costs. He is represented by attorney Anthony Blumberg of Anthony Blumberg & Associates in Chicago.
