An animal hospital in Dolton is facing allegations from a customer who claims its negligence led to the death of one of her three dogs.

Tina Robinson filed suit March 19 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Sangha Enterprises Inc., doing business as Dolton Animal Hospital, and Amardeep Sangha and Sharon Cargile, both individually and as agents of Sangha Enterprises.

According to the complaint, Robinson took her three dogs-- Duke, Bear and Ma-- to Dolton Animal Hospital, 15022 Lincoln Ave., on July 24, 2014 to have them boarded at the facility for eight days.

She claims she couldn't get a hold of anyone at the hospital on July 31 when she tried to pick up her pups and when she got a hold of Cargile, an employee there, on August 1, was notified Duke had died.

Robinson further claims that when she picked up her two other dogs, Bear and Ma, they were covered in waste and appeared malnourished. She accuses the defendants of violating the Humane Care for Animals Act.

Each of the suit's three counts seeks more than $30,000 in damages, plus attorneys fees, costs and at least $25,000 in punitive damages. She is represented by Christopher J. Goril of Breen Goril Law in Chicago.
