A woman who claims she tripped in a South Loop senior living facility is suing.
Georgia Tlatelpa filed suit March 17 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Michigan Avenue Associates LLC, Michigan Avenue Associates, LFW Inc., LFW, also known as the Habitat Company, and the Habitat Company.
According to the complaint, Tlatelpa was at a building on premises the defendants owned operated, maintained and/or controlled at 2001 S. Michigan Ave. on March 20, 2013, when she tripped on carpeting and fall, sustaining injuries.
She accuses the defendants of negligently and carelessly operating, managing, maintaining and inspecting the premises, not removing the dangerous condition and failing to post warnings.
Tlatelpa seeks more than $50,000 in damages and is represented by Isaac Rabicoff, counsel for the Law Offices of Scott A. Kogen & Associates in Chicago.
