Woman sues Marathon station over fall

A Cook County woman is suing the owner of the a gasoline station over claims she was injured in a fall on its property.

Dinina McCullum Smith filed a lawsuit March 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against Marathon Petroleum Co., KMS Petro Mart, Inc., and Kuldip Singh, all doing business as a Marathon gas and service station.

According to the lawsuit, McCullum Smith was at the station at 7601 S. Jeffery in Chicago, on March 8, 2013, when she suffered injuries after slipping and falling allegedly due to uneven concrete and accumulated ice.

McCullum Smith is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ira M. Kleinmuntz of Kleinmuntz Law Office of Chicago.
