A Cook County woman is suing the city of Chicago and its park district over claims she sustained injuries when she fell into an uncovered sewer opening.
Serratta Tate filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against the city of Chicago and the Chicago Park District for injuries she suffered on March 12, 2014, when she fell into an uncovered storm sewer opening in Garfield Park, at 239 N. Hamlin Ave.
Tate is seeking damages in excess of $200,000, plus costs.
The plaintiff is represented by attorney Mark G. Bergal of Chicago.
