Man sues toolmaker for air chisel injury

A man working at a Countryside tire and auto store is suing a tool manufacturer over claims he was injured when a piece from an air chisel struck him in the eye.

Mark McDonagh filed a lawsuit March 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against Stanley Mechanics Tools, Inc., Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., and The Stanley Works for injuries suffered on March 7, 2013, at work when the tip of the company's air chisel broke and wedged into his eye.

McDonagh is seeking damages in excess of $150,000, plus costs.

McDonagh is represented by Milo Lundblad of Brustin and Lundblad, Ltd., of Chicago.
