Woman sues over fall on broken curbing

A Cook County woman is suing for injuries she suffered in a fall on broken curbing outside a health care center in Waukegan.

According to a lawsuit filed recently in Cook County Circuit Court, Elizabeth Broustis is suing Cardinal Health Inc. for injuries she suffered in a fall on broken curbing outside the Cardinal Health Distribution Center in Waukegan. According to the lawsuit, the fall broke seven bones in Broustis's left wrist, necessitating the surgical insertion of a plate and pins to repair the damage.

Broustis seeks damages in excess of $100,000, plus costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Larry S. Kowalczyk of Querrey and Harrow Ltd. of Chicago.
