Gas station blamed over woman's slip and fall

A Cook County woman is suing the owner of a gas station where she was injured in a fall.

According to a lawsuit filed March 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, Tammy McElrath-Bey is suing Neehal Inc., which owns and operates the Go Lo Gas Station at 18595 Torrence Ave., Lansing. McElrath-Bey was injured during a fall on a slippery area in the refreshments area at the station on Sept. 8, 2013, according to the lawsuit.

McElrath-Bey is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

She is represented by Vincent Petrosino and Kevin J. O'Shea, of Serpico, Petrosino, Dipiero and O'Shea of Chicago.
