A Cook County man has sued a bar patron and the bar, alleging he was beat him up by an intoxicated man.
Anthony Elterman of Chicago filed a lawsuit March 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against Jacob S. Schmidt and 15 Hubbard, doing business as El Hefe Chicago.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 17, 2014, Elterman was struck about the body and head by Schmidt, both of whom were customers at El Hefe Chicago, at 15 W. Hubbard St.
The suit says the attack was unprovoked, and Elterman was "severely and seriously injured, both internally and externally."
Elterman seeks a judgment greater than $30,000, in addition to attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney Daniel E. Goodman of Park Ridge.
