A Cook County woman is suing a management company, alleging it placed a parking barrier in a parking lot that caused her to fall.
Kathleen Evans filed a lawsuit March 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Cagan Management Group, citing negligence.
According to the lawsuit, on March 13, 2014, Evans fell after tripping over a parking barrier at 3856 Oakton St. in Skokie. The suit alleges Cagan Management Group failed to post warnings about the barriers or barricade the area and let ice or snow accumulate on the barriers, an act that was "careless and negligent."
Evans seeks a judgment in excess of $50,000. She is represented by The Law Office of Corti and Aleksy in Chicago.
