Woman blames Dollar Tree for fall

A local woman has sued a real estate company and a Dollar Tree store, citing injuries she suffered in a fall.

Pamela Skowronski filed a lawsuit March 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against J.D. Real Estate Inc. and Dollar Tree Stores, citing negligence

According to the complaint, on March 29, 2013, at the Dollar Tree in East Side Plaza, 3510 E. 118th St., Chicago, Skowronski fell on "an uneven broken curb/sidewalk area at or near the entrance." The suit says the fall caused the plaintiff to suffer injuries to her head, body and limbs and that she suffered "great bodily pain."

Skowronski seeks a judgment in excess of $100,000. He is is represented by attorney Nancy L. Hirsch of Chicago.
