A mail carrier has sued the owners of a boxer breed dog that allegedly bit her while she was delivering mail.
Sandra McKenzie filed a lawsuit March 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against Mark Shcherbakov (also known as Mark Schneider), Valeriy Shcherbakov (also known as Valery Scherbakov) and Dalia Bieliauskiene.
According to the complaint, on July 12, 2014, the dog attacked McKenzie on Lowell Street in Skokie, resulting in scars to the plaintiff's legs that caused pain, suffering and disfigurement.
McKenzie seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney James L. Allegretti of Park Ridge.
