An Ohio software creator has sued CareerBuilder, alleging breach of contract.

Punchkick Interactive Inc. filed suit April 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against the job board operator, which has offices in Chicago.

According to the complaint, on July 2, 2012, Punchkick entered into an agreement with CareerBuilder, under which Punchkick would perform web-based services and develop mobile applications. Its third agreement was executed March 12, 2013, requiring Punchkick to develop a password-protected tool to let CareerBuilder employees to log in and create "an optimized custom mobile application for CareerBuilder customers," the suit states.

The lawsuit says CareerBuilder failed to pay its license fee; failed to pay the revenue share; terminated its agreement before the "work end date;" and pursued or offered the application created by Punchkick before the "work end date."

Punchkick seeks recovery of these unpaid license fees and the revenue share, as well as attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by Bruggeman, Hurst and Associates, of Mokena.
